Daily Thoughts

In the Old Testament I read about how David prepared a place for the ark and taught that only the Levites were authorized to carry it. 1 Chr. 15: 1-3 "And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the Lord chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever. And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto his place, which he had prepared for it."

In the D&C we're told that we're to walk uprightly before God and ask Him in all things, doing all things with prayer and thanksgiving. If we do this, we won't be deceived. D&C 46: 7 "But ye are commanded in all things to ask of God, who giveth liberally; and that which the Spirit testifies unto you even so I would that ye should do in all holiness of heart, walking uprightly before me, cconsidering the end of your salvation, doing all things with prayer and thanksgiving, that ye may not be seduced by evil spirits, or doctrines of devils, or the commandments of men; for some are of men, and others of devils."

A verse with a thought booklet reminds us that God will give His angels charge over us and guard us in all we do. What a wonderful blessing it is to know that Heavenly Father is watching over us. Ps. 91: 11 "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
