Daily Thoughts

In the Old Testament I read that Solomon prepared to build the House of the Lord, organizing laborers to do the work. 2 Chr. 2: 1-2, 7-9 "And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the Lord, and an house for his kingdom. And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them. Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide. Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants, Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build shall be wonderful great."

In the D&C I read that when we're given stewardships by the Lord, we'll be held accountable for them in the day of judgment. D&C 70: 4 "And an account of this stewardship will I require of them in the day of judgment."

Some verses with a thought booklet tell us that we should be rooted and grounded in love, which happens when we allow Christ to dwell in our hearts by faith. The love of Christ passes knowledge and fills us with the fulness of God. Eph. 3: 17-19 "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."
