Daily Thoughts

In the Old Testament I read that both the righteous and the wicked will be rewarded according to their doings. If will be well for the righteous, but ill for the wicked. Isa. 3: 10-11 "Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall beat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him."

In the Book of Mormon we read that there is a great inequality in men because of their sins. Those who allow thir hearts to be ensnared by the devil reap death, destruction and misery. But those who diligently labor in the vineyards of the Lord find great joy because of the light of Christ unto life. The choice is ours! Alma 28: 13-14 "And thus we see how great the inequality of man is because of sin and transgression, and the power of the devil, which comes by the cunning plans which he hath devised to ensnare the hearts of men. And thus we see the great call of diligence of men to labor in the vineyards of the Lord; and thus we see the great reason of sorrow, and also of rejoicing—sorrow because of death and destruction among men, and joy because of the light of Christ unto life."

A verse with a thought booklet prophesies of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, 700 years before it occurred. Micah 5: 2 "But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."
