In the Book of Mormon we're told that the time will soon come when Satan will have no more power over the hearts of the children of men and all the wicked will have the wrath of God poured out upon them. The Lord will not allow the wicked to destroy the righteous. 1 Ne. 22: 15-16 "For behold, saith the prophet, the time cometh speedily that Satan shall have no more power over the hearts of the children of men; for the day soon cometh that all the proud and they who do wickedly shall be as stubble; and the day cometh that they must be burned. For the time soon cometh that the fulness of the wrath of God shall be poured out upon all the children of men; for he will not suffer that the wicked shall destroy the righteous."
In the New Testament we're told that we should rather obey God than men. Acts 5:29 "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."
A verse with a thought booklet tells us that lips that tell lies are an abomination to the Lord, but those who speak the truth are a delight to Him. Honesty is very important to the Lord and we need to be truthful in what we say. Proverbs 12:22 "Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight."
