Daily Thoughts

In the Book of Mormon we're told to seek counsel from the Lord, who is full of wisdom, rather than counseling the Lord ourselves. When we pray, do we tell the Lord what we want, or do we seek to know His will? Jacob 4: 10 "Wherefore, brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works."

In the New Testament we read that Christ will be merciful to the unrighteousness, and will forgive their sins and remember them no more. What a wonderful thing that we can repent of our sins and the Lord won't remember them anymore! Hebrews 8:12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

A verse with a thought booklet tells us that if we keep the cammandments, we'll abide in Christ's love, just as He abides in His Father's love. John 15:10 "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my blove; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
