In the Book of Mormon I read that the Lord is mindful of every person in the world. He loves them all and is merciful towards them. This should give us great reason to rejoice and be thankful. Alma 26: 37 "Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen."
In the Old Testament we read that Israel was commanded to vex the Midianites and smite them, for they had beguiled them and caused them to sin. Numbers 25:16-18 "And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Vex the Midianites, and smite them: For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake."
A verse with a thought booklet tells us that the Lord will take us by the hand and be with us, so we have no need to fear. This is a good verse to commit to memory so that when we're going through difficult times, it can remind us that we're not alone. Isaiah 41:13 "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."
