In the D&C we read that the voice of warning shall be unto all people by the mouths of the Lord's disciples in the last days. Imagine the job of warning all the wicked people in the entire world! But that is a job that needs to be done, and it's going to take all the followers of Christ working together to perform this work. The gospel needs to be preached to all people. D&C 1:4 "And the voice of warning shall be unto all people, by the mouths of my disciples, whom I have chosen in these last days."
In the Old Testament we read a powerful testimony from Job, as he testifies that His Redeemer lives and that He will stand at the latter day upon the earth. And Job also testifies of the resurrection of the dead--that even though worms destroy his body, in his flesh he will see God. Job 19:25-26 "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:"
Some scriptures with a thought booklet are a plea to the Lord to hide our sins from His face and blot out our iniquities, making us clean and washing us whiter than snow. Indeed, if we're willing to repent, thanks to the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can be washed clean of all our sins and made clean again! Psalms 52:7-9 "Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints."
