Daily Thoughts

In the D&C we read that we should walk uprightly before the Lord and ask of God what we should do, thanking the Lord in all things.  If we do this, we won't be deceived.  D&C 46:7 "But ye are commanded in all things to ask of God, who giveth liberally; and that which the Spirit testifies unto you even so I would that ye should do in all holiness of heart, walking uprightly before me, considering the end of your salvation, doing all things with prayer and thanksgiving, that ye may not be seduced by evil spirits, or doctrines of devils, or the commandments of men; for some are of men, and others of devils."

In the Old Testament we read that we gain knowledge line upon line, precept on precept, instead of everything being given to us at once.  Isaiah 28:10 "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:"

In some scriptures with a thought booklet we read that when we have envying and strife in our lives, we will experience confusion and every evil work.  But when we receive wisdom from above, it is gentle and full of mercy and peace, and it brings forth good fruits.  The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace.  James 3:16-18 "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."
