Daily Thoughts

In the D&C we read that when the servants of the Lord speak as moved upon by the Holy Ghost their words are like scripture, containing the word of the Lord and the mind of the Lord.  So we should be of good  cheer and not fear, for the Lord will stand by us when we bear record of Jesus Christ.  D&C 68: 2-6 "And, behold, and lo, this is an ensample unto all those who were ordained unto this priesthood, whose mission is appointed unto them to go forth— And this is the ensample unto them, that they shall speak as they are moved upon by the Holy Ghost. And whatsoever they shall speak when moved upon by the Holy Ghost shall be scripture, shall be the will of the Lord, shall be the mind of the Lord, shall be the word of the Lord, shall be the voice of the Lord, and the power of God unto salvation. Behold, this is the promise of the Lord unto you, O ye my servants. Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you; and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the Son of the living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come."

In the Old Testament we read that the days will come when the Lord will perform all the good things He has promised unto the House of Israel and to the house of Judah.  Indeed, the Lord keeps His promises to us all and fulfills whatever He says He will do.  We can count on it! Jeremiah 33:14 "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah."

A verse with a thought booklet tells us to be still and know that He is God.  It's difficult to feel the Spirit when we're in a busy, noisy, hurried environment.  Sometimes we need to take the time to be still and meditate in a quiet place to replenish our Spirits and come to know God.  Do we take time for prayer and quiet study each day?  Psalms 46: 10 " Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
