Daily Thoughts

In the P of GP we read about the fourth day of creation in which God made the sun, moon an stars to rule over the day and night.  Moses 2:14-19 " And I, God, said: Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven, to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and for years; And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so.  And I, God, made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the greater light was the sun, and the lesser light was the moon; and the stars also were made even according to my word.  And I, God, set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And the sun to rule over the day, and the moon to rule over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good; And the evening and the morning were the fourth day."

In the New Testament we read that Jesus spoke the words of the Father which were words of truth, but the people refused to believe. He that is of God will hear God's words, but those who are not of God will reject them.  John 8:45-47 "And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.  Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?  He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

A verse with a thought booklet is a good one to remember when troubling situations in our life cause us to worry and fear.  The Lord is our light and our salvation, so what do we need to be afraid of?  He is our strength, so why do we need to fear?  Psalms 27:1 "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
