Daily Thoughts

In the P of GP we read that all things were created by God and bear record of Him.  Moses 6:63 "And behold, all things have their likeness, and all things are created and made to bear record of me, both things which are temporal, and things which are spiritual; things which are in the heavens above, and things which are on the earth, and things which are in the earth, and things which are under the earth, both above and beneath: all things bear record of me."

In the New Testament we read that God is no respecter of persons.  Anyone who reverses the Lord and does works of righteousness is accepted by Him, regardless of nationality.  Acts 10:34-35 "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him."

Some scriptures with a thought booklet tell us that if God counted and kept track of everyone's iniquities, nobody would be able to stand because we're all guilty of sin.  However, the situation is not hopeless!  We can be forgiven because the Lord is merciful and generous without redemption. Because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, it's possible for us to repent and be forgiven for our sins.   Psalms 130:1-8 "Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.  Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.  If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?  But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.  I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.  Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.  And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities."
