In the P of GP we read about how the Gods rested the seventh day and did not do any work. Abraham 5:2 " And the Gods said among themselves: On the seventh time we will end our work, which we have counseled; and we will rest on the seventh time from all our work which we have counseled."
In the New Testament we read that we will never be tempted above what we can bear. But when any temptation comes to us, a way of escaping it will be provided by the Lord. So we can't use the excuse "the devil made me do it!" The devil can't make us do anything. If we'll allow the Lord to help us, we can resist any temptation that comes along. 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
A verse with a thought booklet gives us some insight into jut how the Lord can help us resist temptation. It tells us that the Lord gives us power when we feel faint and when we have no might, He increases our strength. So if we're feeling weak and vulnerable, we can pray to the Lord and ask Him to help us. He will give us the strength we need. Isaiah 40: 29 "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength."
