Daily Thoughts

In the Book of Mormon we read that Jesus would be able to cast out devils and evil spirits. We need to remember that God is always more powerful than Satan!   Mosiah 3: 6 "And he shall cast out devils, or the evil spirits which dwell in the hearts of the children of men."

In the Old Testament we read about how Job's friend Eliphaz reproved him and accused him of wickedness which he was being punished for.  Actually, Job was not wicked and was being falsely judged.  Bad things sometimes do happen to good people.  Are we ever guilty of making things even worse for our friends who are going through challenging circumstances by judging them harshly?  Job 4:7-8 "Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?  Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same."

A verse with a thought booklet tells us that the Lord will open the eyes of the blind, raise up those who are bowed down, and loves the righteous.  Sometimes the Lord will physically heal the blind or disabled, but often times He'll mentally and spiritually heal those who are blind to what they need to see, or bowed down with grief or worries. Can we clearly see what we need to change in our lives, or what we can do to serve someone else?  If not, the Lord can help us see more clearly. If we'll turn to the Lord during the times of our troubles, He can lift our burdens which bow down our backs, and make our loads light.  And of course we know that He loves the righteous. Let's obey His will and turn to Him for help in all we need.  Psalms 146:8 "The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous:"
