In the Book of Mormon we read that the knowledge of the Savior will spread to every nation, kindred, tongue and people. No one will be found blameless, except little children, unless they repent. Every man will be judged according to his works, whether they be good or evil. The wicked will be miserable and in torment. So it's very important that we repent now before it's too late! Mosiah 3:20-27 "And moreover, I say unto you, that the time shall come when the knowledge of a Savior shall spread throughout every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. And behold, when that time cometh, none shall be found blameless before God, except it be little children, only through repentance and faith on the name of the Lord God Omnipotent. And even at this time, when thou shalt have taught thy people the things which the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, even then are they found no more blameless in the sight of God, only according to the words which I have spoken unto thee. And now I have spoken the words which the Lord God hath commanded me. And thus saith the Lord: They shall stand as a bright testimony against this people, at the judgment day; whereof they shall be judged, every man according to his works, whether they be good, or whether they be evil. And if they be evil they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord into a state of misery and endless torment, from whence they can no more return; therefore they have drunk damnation to their own souls. Therefore, they have drunk out of the cup of the wrath of God, which justice could no more deny unto them than it could deny that Adam should fall because of his partaking of the forbidden fruit; therefore, mercy could have claim on them no more forever. And their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flames are unquenchable, and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever. Thus hath the Lord commanded me. Amen."
In the Old Testament we read about how when Job's friend Zophar had heard him speak, he accused Job of sinfulness, saying that God was punishing him less than he deserved. Have you ever been falsely accused of doing something you weren't guilty of? I have. And it's a difficult thing to endure. Imagine how Job must have felt going through all these tribulations and then having his "friends" tell him he was so wicked that God was giving him less than he deserved! Talk about adding salt to a wound. Job 11:1-6 "Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said, Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified? Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed? For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes. But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee; And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. "
Some scriptures with a thought booklet tell us to do our best to improve our faith. We can do this by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love. In other words, if we do what's right and try our best to show love for others, it increases our faith. 2 Peter 1:5-7 "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity."
