Daily Thoughts

In the Book of Mormon we read how to tell the difference between good and evil. Whatever is good comes from God and whatever is evil comes from the devil. We will receive the wages that we deserve, whether good or evil.  Alma 5:40-42 "For I say unto you that whatsoever is good cometh from God, and whatsoever is evil cometh from the devil.  Therefore, if a man bringeth forth good works he hearkeneth unto the voice of the good shepherd, and he doth follow him; but whosoever bringeth forth evil works, the same becometh a child of the devil, for he hearkeneth unto his voice, and doth follow him.  And whosoever doeth this must receive his wages of him; therefore, for his wages he receiveth death, as to things pertaining unto righteousness, being dead unto all good works."

In the Old Testament we read that we need to be humble and get rid of pride.  We need to give glory to God, lest He cause darkness to come upon us and we stumble.  Jeremiah 13:15-16 "Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the Lord hath spoken. Give glory to the Lord your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness."

Some scriptures with a thought booklet tell us that the Lord doesn't differentiate between the Jew and the Greek, but is Lord over all and will save whoever calls upon Him. People of all nations are sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father and He loves us all.   Romans 10:10-11 " For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
