In the Old Testament I read that Israel should cross Jordan, build an altar, make offerings, and worship the Lord. They should keep the commandments. Deut. 27: 1-7 "And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day. And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister: And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee. Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister. And there shalt thou build an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them. Thou shalt build the altar of the Lord thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the Lord thy God: And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the Lord thy God."

In the Book of Mormon I read that we must pray always. Before we do anything unto the Lord we need to pray first, that our performance will be consecreated unto the Lord and will be for the welfare of our souls. Satan teaches men that they should not pray, but we need to not listen to him. Instead we should listen to the Holy Spirit which teaches men that they should pray. 2 Ne. 32: 8-9 "And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray ye would know that ye must pray; for the devil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray. But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul."

A verse with a thought booklet tells us that the very heavens declare the glory of God and the earth declares His handiwork. How can anyone not believe in God when all you have to do is look around you at the beautiful world that He created, and it testifies of His existance. If you found a beautiful painting in the middle of a dessert would you think that it had just "happene" or created itself? Of course not! You would know that somewhere there was a painter who had created it. So how can you look at the world, which is a zillion times more complex than a painting, and not know that someone created it? Ps. 19: 1 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."
