Daily Thoughts

In the Old Testament I read that we need to give thanks unto the Lord, pray to Him, and sing praises to His name. If we seek him continually, He will give us strength. We need to keep in remembrance all the wonderful things that He has done. 1 Chr. 16: 8-12 "Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;"

In the D&C I read a verse that tells us that whoever is a faithful, just, and wise steward will receive eternal life and enter into the joy of the Lord. If we do what's right and endure to the end, we'll receive a wonderful reward. D&C 51: 19 "And whoso is found a faithful, a just, and a wise steward shall enter into the joy of his Lord, and shall inherit eternal life."

A verse from a thought booklet tells us that if we love the Lord, we'll keep His commandments. John 14: 15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
