Daily Thoughts

In the Old Testament I read that wisdom is of more value than rubies. Indeed, you can't place a monetary price on it. Prov. 8: 11 "For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it."

In the Book of Mormon I read that every good thing comes from God and every evil think comes from the devil. We need to come unto Christ and offer our whole souls as an offering to Him. If we continue in fasting and prayer and endure to the end, we will be saved. Omni 1: 25-26 "And it came to pass that I began to be old; and, having no seed, and knowing king Benjamin to be a just man before the Lord, wherefore, I shall deliver up these plates unto him, exhorting all men to come unto God, the Holy One of Israel, and believe in prophesying, and in revelations, and in the ministering of angels, and in the gift of speaking with tongues, and in the gift of interpreting languages, and in all things which are good; for there is nothing which is good save it comes from the Lord; and that which is evil cometh from the devil. And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

Some verses with a thought booklet tell us that those who are far from the Lord will perish, but it is good for us to trust in God and draw close to Him, declaring all His works. Ps. 73: 27-28 "For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works."
