In the Old Testament I read that we need to take a careful look at our ways and see things we need to repent of. We need to turn to the Lord, lifting up our hearts unto God. Lam. 3: 40-41 "Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord. Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens."
In the D&C I read a reminder that the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. This is something we need to remember in dealing with other people, even difficult people. Heavenly Father loves each one of His children. Jesus died for every one of them. Anything we can do to help or benefit another person is a very worthwhile thing to do. D&C 18: 10 "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;"
A verse with a thought booklet tells us to pray without ceasing. We can't spend our entire lives, day and night, kneeling down and saying verbal prayers--we do need to live our lives. But we can have a constant prayer in our hearts and constantly think of the Lord in all we say and do. 1 Thes. 5: 17 "Pray without ceasing."
