Daily Thoughts

In the Book of Mormon we read that the Lord will never forget us--we're engraven upon the palms of His hands. 1
Ne. 21: 14-16 "But, behold, Zion hath said: The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me—but he will
show that he hath not. For can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of
her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee, O house of Israel. Behold, I have graven thee upon the
palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

In the New Testament I read that we need to repent and be baptized for the remission of our sins, and then receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

A verse with a thought booklet says that God will wipe away all tears from our eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. Wow! How wonderful will that be. Having recently lost my mother, it is a comfort to know that the pain of losing loved ones is just temporary. And our illnesses and pains of this life are just temporary. There will come a time when such things will be done away. Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
