In the Book of Mormon I read how Jacob delighted in proving the truth to the people regarding Jesus Christ. He delighted in the covenants of the Lord and in His grace, mercy, and power. Do we delight in the things of the Lord and in teaching them to others? 2 Ne. 11: 4-6 "Behold, my soul delighteth in proving unto my people the truth of the coming of Christ; for, for this end hath the law of Moses been given; and all things which have been given of God from the beginning of the world, unto man, are the typifying of him. And also my soul delighteth in the covenants of the Lord which he hath made to our fathers; yea, my soul delighteth in his grace, and in his justice, and power, and mercy in the great and eternal plan of deliverance from death. And my soul delighteth in proving unto my people that save Christ should come all men must perish."
In the New Testament we're told to abide in whatever calling has been given to us. We should not try to do other people's callings or even think about ways we could do their callings better than they are doing them. Instead, we need to focus our energies on doing the best we can in what we've been called to do. 1 Corinthians 7:20 "Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called."
A verse with a thought booklet tell us that just as God loves each one of us, we also need to one one another. 1 John 4:11 "Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."
