Daily Thoughts

In the Book of Mormon I read that there is no other name nor means by which men can be saved, other than Jesus Christ. He is the sole source of our salvation! Mosiah 3:17 "And moreover, I say unto you, that there shall be no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come unto the children of men, only in and through the name of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent."

In the New Testament I read that Christ will come quickly and judge every man according to his works. He will bless and reward all those who keep His commandments. Revelation 22:12-14 "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

A verse with a thought booklet asks the question "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" And of course the answer is no! This particular reference is to Sarah having a child even though she's been barren all her life and is now well past the age of childbearing--a seemingly impossible thing. However, with God all things are possible. The next time we're faced with a seemingly impossible situation, we need to turn to the Lord in faith and know that if it is His will, He can do anything. Genesis 18:14 "Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."
