In the Book of Mormon I read that the Lord sends an invitation to all men to repent and come unto Him and He will receive them. If we do what's right, we won't be hewn down and cast into the fire. Alma 5: 33-35 "Behold, he sendeth an invitation unto all men, for the arms of mercy are extended towards them, and he saith: Repent, and I will receive you. Yea, he saith: Come unto me and ye shall partake of the fruit of the tree of life; yea, ye shall eat and drink of the bread and the waters of life freely; Yea, come unto me and bring forth works of righteousness, and ye shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire—"
In the Old Testament I read the details with which the tabernacle would be built--along with the mercy seat, cherubims, table and candlestick. And then there's a verse that says that all these things would be made after the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses in the mount. This was all according to the direction of the Lord. Exodus 25:40 "And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount."
A verse with a thought booklet tells us that if we trust in the Lord and our minds are stayed on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace. The only way to have true peace in our lives, is to turn to the Lord. Isaiah 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
