In the Book of Mormon we read about how the wicked will be destroyed at the time of the Second Coming of Christ. However, to those who obey the Lord, He will come with healing in His wings. 3 Nephi 25:1-3 "For behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name, shall the Son of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves in the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of Hosts."
In the Old Testament we read that Jabez prayed to the Lord asking for blessings which were granted to him as he requested. Our prayers are heard and answered! 1 Chronicles 4:10 "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."
Some verses with a thought booklet remind us that going through difficult circumstances that try our faith helps us develop patience. We need to let perseverance finish its work so that we may be mature and complete and not lack in anything. The things we go through help to make us into the people we need to become. James 1:3-4 "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
