In the D&C we read that the thing which is of most worth is to declare repentance unto the people, and bring souls unto Christ, that we may rest with them in the Kingdom of the Father. D&C 15:6 "And now, behold, I say unto you, that the thing which will be of the most worth unto you will be to declare repentance unto this people, that you may bring souls unto me, that you may rest with them in the kingdom of my Father. Amen."
Some verses with a thought booklet describe how Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, showing an example of how we should serve one another. And he told us that if we would do these things, we would be happy. Have you noticed that some of the happiest people are those who unselfishly serve others? And how some of the most miserable are people who think only of themselves? John 13:12-17 "So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them."
A verse with a thought booklet tells us to trust in the Lord at all times and to pour out our hearts before Him. He will be a refuge for us. Truly, we can turn to the Lord in all our times of need and can trust Him to answer our prayers in the way that is best for us. Psalms 62:8 "Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah."
