Daily Thoughts

In the D&C I read that if we pray always, we'll receive great blessings and the Lord will pour out His Spirit abundantly upon us.  We'll receive even greater blessings than the treasures of the earth.  How can we read such things without lifting up our hearts in rejoicing and gladness?  D&C 19:38-39 "Pray always, and I will pour out my Spirit upon you, and great shall be your blessing—yea, even more than if you should obtain treasures of earth and corruptibleness to the extent thereof. Behold, canst thou read this without rejoicing and lifting up thy heart for gladness?"

In the Old Testament we read that the Lord listens to our prayers and answers them.  We can turn to him in the day of our troubles.  Psalms 86:6-7 "Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me."

A verse with a thought booklet reminds us that we need to love one another as the Lord loves us.  The most important thing we can do is to love others.  John 15:12 "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."
