Daily Thoughts

In the D&C we read that those who are strong in the Spirit should succor the weak and edify them in meekness, helping them to become strong also.  It's important to reach out to those who are struggling and help to lift them up.  D&C 84: 106 "And if any man among you be strong in the Spirit, let him take with him him that is weak, that he may be edified in all meekness, that he may become strong also."

In the Old Testament we read about how the Lord commanded His children to walk in His statues, observe His judgments, observe His Sabbaths, which would be a sign between Him and them, that they might know that He is the Lord their God.  However, they rebelled against Him and refused to obey the commandments.  They polluted His Sabbaths and refused to walk in His statutes.  So the anger and fury of the Lord was upon them.  Ezekiel 20:19-21 "I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness."

A verse with a thought booklet tells us that if we will search for the Lord with all our heart and soul, we will find Him.  Deuteronomy 4:29 "But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul."
