Daily Thoughts

In the D&C we read that we should all labor in the callings we have been given, for each is important and necessary, just like the various parts of the body are needed for their different functions.  D&C 84:109-110 "Therefore, let every man stand in his own office, and labor in his own calling; and let not the head say unto the feet it hath no need of the feet; for without the feet how shall the body be able to stand? Also the body hath need of every member, that all may be edified together, that the system may be kept perfect."

In the Old Testament we read that those who are low will be exalted and those who are high will be abased--the crown and diadem will be removed from them.  Ezekiel 21:26 "Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high."

Some scriptures with a thought booklet say that we should be lowly and gentle and longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.  When we see others struggling, do we ignore them and continue on our way, or do we gently and lovingly do what we can to help them bear their burdens.  Ephesians 4:1-2 "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;"
