Daily Thoughts
In the D&C we're told that in the next life we'll have the same sociality there that we enjoy in this life, but it will be coupled with eternal glory. D&C 130: 2 "And that same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there, only it will be coupled with eternal glory, which glory we do not now enjoy."
In the New Testament we read that those who make great sacrifices to follow the Lord will have it made up to them a hundred fold and in the world to come they shall obtain eternal life. We will be richly rewarded for anything we give up or for any persecution we receive for the gospel's sake. It will all be worth it! Mark 10:28-30 "Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life."
Some verses with a thought booklet tell us that the Lord is good to those who wait for Him and seek Him. We need to have hope for salvation and quietly wait for it. Lamentations 3:25-26 "The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord."
