Daily Thoughts

In the P of GP we read that whoever is found o be a faithful servant when the Lord comes will be made a ruler.  Joseph Smith Matthew 1:49-50 "Who, then, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?  Blessed is that servant whom his lord, when he cometh, shall find so doing; and verily I say unto you, he shall make him ruler over all his goods."

In the New Testament we read that we reap what we sow.  If we do evil deeds, we'll reap corruption.  If we follow the Spirit, we'll reap everlasting life.  So let's not be weary in well doing because if we don't faint, we'll in due season reap our reward.  Galatians 6:7-9 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

A verse with a thought booklet says that having a sound heart gives life to the flesh, but envy rots the bones.  Harboring envy is dangerous to our heath.  It also injures our spirits.  And it can destroy relationships.  Proverbs 14:30 "A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
