In the Book of Mormon we read that after Lehi had spoken to all his household, according to the feelings of his heart, he died and was buried. It wasn't long after he was gone that Laman and Lemuel became angry with Nephi because of the admonitions of the Lord. 2 Nephi 4:12-13 " And it came to pass after my father, Lehi, had spoken unto all his household, according to the feelings of his heart and the Spirit of the Lord which was in him, he waxed old. And it came to pass that he died, and was buried. And it came to pass that not many days after his death, Laman and Lemuel and the sons of Ishmael were angry with me because of the admonitions of the Lord."
In the Old Testament we read that the people should not fear even if they needed to battle against an enemy more numerous than they are, with horses and chariots. The same God which brought them out of the land of Egypt would be with them and fight for them. If the Lord is on our side, it doesn't matter who is against us. Deuteronomy 20:1 "When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt."
A verse with a thought booklet tells us to commit whatever we do to the Lord and He will establish our plans. Our days will go so much better if we turn them over to God. Proverbs 16:3 "Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established."
