Daily Thoughts

In the Book of Mormon we read about how Zeniff was sent to spy among the Lamanites so they could be destroyed.  But when he saw good in them and did not want them destroyed. It's easier to hate people we don't actually know.  Once we get to know them, we can often find good in them.  Mosiah 9:1 "I, Zeniff, having been taught in all the language of the Nephites, and having had a knowledge of the land of Nephi, or of the land of our fathers' first inheritance, and having been sent as a spy among the Lamanites that I might spy out their forces, that our army might come upon them and destroy them—but when I saw that which was good among them I was desirous that they should not be destroyed."

In the Old Testament we read that the wicked refuse to seek God because of the pride in their hearts.  The Lord is not at all in their thoughts. Are we so full of pride that we think we can handle our problems o our own without help from God?  Do we not even think about Him? If this is the case we need to humble ourselves to turn to the Lord for help and guidance in our lives. We all truly do need Him.  Psalms 10:4 "The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts."

A verse with a thought booklet tells us that the Lord will provide for our needs, according to the richness of His glory. Sometimes He gives us what we need directly, sometimes He uses other people to supply our needs, and sometimes He gives us ideas of ways we can supply our own needs.  But in any case, we can safely trust in Him.  Philippians 4:19 " But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
