In the Old Testament it says we should make faithful people our companions. Ps. 119: 63 "I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts."
In the Book of Mormon it talks about how the proud will be humbled and brought low, but the Lord will be exalted and sanctified in righteousness. 2 Ne. 15: 15-16 "And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled. But the Lord of Hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness."
A verse with a thought booklet tells us that Jesus is the bread of life and whoever comes to Him, shall never hunger. John 6: 35 "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
