In the Book of Mormon I read that we need to offer up our whole souls as an offering to God and continue in fasting and prayer, enduring to the end. If we do things things, we'll be saved. Omni 1: 26 "And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."
In the New Testament I read that when we walk in the Lord's commandments, that is showing love for Him. 2 John 1:6 "And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it."
A verse with a thought booklet tells us that the Lord will be a strength to the poor and needy and those in distress and will provide refuge from the storm and shade from the heat. We can safely trust in the Lord! Isaiah 25:4 "For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall."
