Daily Thoughts

In the P of GP we read that God created many worlds, innumerable unto men but they are all numbered to God for they are His and He knows them. The earth we live on is but a small part of the creations of God.  Moses 1:35 "But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them."

In the New Testament we read that the gospel will be preached to all those who have died, and those who hearken will live.  This is why performing baptisms and other ordinances for the dead is so important.  If they accept the gospel in the next life they'll have the opportunity of accepting the baptisms that are performed in their behalf and they'll have the same opportunity of receiving everlasting life.  John 5:25 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live."

A verse with a thought booklet tells us that we don't need to fear or be dismayed for the Lord will go before us and be with us.  He will not fail us.  A person on a plane flight traveling through thick fog wondered how the pilot was able to fly without being able to see anything, so asked the pilot.  He said, "You need to trust your instruments." When we're traveling through life we sometimes find ourselves going through foggy situations where our path is not clear. But if we trust in the Lord, He can guide and direct us.  He will not forsake us!  Deuteronomy 31:8 "And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."
