Daily Thoughts
In the P of GP we read about the first day of the creation of the heavens and the earth. In that first day, God created light. He divided the darkness from the light and created day and night. Moses 2:1-5 "And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven, and this earth; write the words which I speak. I am the Beginning and the End, the Almighty God; by mine Only Begotten I created these things; yea, in the beginning I created the heaven, and the earth upon which thou standest. And the earth was without form, and void; and I caused darkness to come up upon the face of the deep; and my Spirit moved upon the face of the water; for I am God. And I, God, said: Let there be light; and there was light. And I, God, saw the light; and that light was good. And I, God, divided the light from the darkness. And I, God, called the light Day; and the darkness, I called Night; and this I did by the word of my power, and it was done as I spake; and the evening and the morning were the first day."
In the New Testament we read that Jesus is the bread of life and those who believe in Him will have everlasting life. John 6:47-48 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life."
In some scriptures with a thought booklet we're told that Jesus, a great high priest and Son of God, was in all points tempted like we are, but remained without sin. He offers us mercy and grace in our time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
